Web Diary of a Wedding Planner

Let's start at the beginning...

Ever week I get at least 4-5 emails from women from all walks of life who want to get advise on how to become a wedding planner, how to get started, want work experience or looking for a job in this crazy industry. From the 14 year old school girl to the 50 year old mother of five, they all have their own reasons and desires why they want to be involved with weddings, some of them with no experience at all and some with experience in the industry. Most of them see this job as glamorous, which sometimes it is, and cannot see the side when you are working 12 hour days non stop 7 days a week, when you cannot take a holiday, not even at Christmas because weddings are scheduled in, and when you actually have to get on with hard physical labour to set up decorations.

This web diary is to all women who are getting married, to the ones who want to become wedding planners and to the ones who are just interested in how things are done and what is a wedding planner actually does. It will not be an accurate account, as it is only the story through my eyes, but I will try to get my colleagues and clients involved as well as much as possible. I cannot promise to do a day to day account or to mention every wedding and every bride and groom, but hey, it is only here for a taste...

I have been meaning to do it for a while now, but as the company has grown, so has my workload and I never really had the chance to sit down and share all these stories. Now I have put it on my "priorities" list, so here it is all; the stories, the gossip, and whatever you are looking for while reading it, I hope you will find it.

Enjoy!
